Delivering a Healthy WA

WA Cancer and Palliative Care Network

Paediatric palliative care

We aim to improve care for all children and adolescents with life limiting illnesses by:

  • developing a model of care for paediatric and adolescent palliative care
  • establishing education and training programs for doctors, nurses and other health professionals
  • developing education and training programs for child care workers
  • improving access to well-coordinated respite services for families and carers so they can continue to provide care at home

We will work closely with the Child and Adolescent Health Service and other community organisations that provide palliative care and respite services across Western Australia.
