Workforce development

We aim to make palliative care an attractive work option by:

• developing and implementing a statewide palliative care education plan
• working with universities and health services to include palliative care in the curriculum and clinical experience of medical, nursing and allied health students
• developing new work roles including the nurse practitioner
• establishing palliative care leadership programs
