What we do
During 2008 the major focus of the network will be the undertaking of tasks and the initiation of projects associated with the implementation of the diabetes model of care. This will occur in partnership with Area Health Services and other key stakeholders.
Early tasks and projects will include:
- Redeveloping the dedicated WA Health diabetes website
- Establishing a specialist services subgroup to review and reconfigure specialist clinical services
- Participating in the development of new information technology systems to improve communication between general practitioners and other service providers
