Dr Nick Waldron

Dr Nick Waldron is head of department and works clinically at Armadale Hospital, and is the Lead for the Falls Prevention Health Network.

Nick graduated from the University of Otago, New Zealand in 1997 and commenced physician training in Christchurch before moving to Perth in 2003 and completed specialist training as a consultant geriatrician.

In his role as Lead of the Falls Prevention Health Network, his key achievements include establishing falls specialist co-ordinators across WA and creating an inpatient falls prevention ‘community of practice’.

Nick is a senior lecturer with the University of Notre Dame and is actively involved in research. In 2010 he completed his NHMRC National Institute of Clinical Studies - WA Health Fellowship developing expertise in knowledge translation and leadership.

His research focuses on bridging the gap between falls prevention evidence and clinical practice in the inpatient, emergency and community setting.
