Mr Stephen Bloomer
Stephen Bloomer is Manager of the Clinical Governance Team at Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital, reviewing major clinical incidents and death audits. He has been involved in a number of key projects to improve the provision of best practice care. The most notable of these was the development of an electronic discharge summary system, which links patient problems to the best practice guidelines. The system has been used across a number of specialties including cardiovascular medicine and vascular surgery. His work won a High Commendation in the 2004 Premiers Awards under the category of Governance.
Stephen has a background as Clinical Nurse Specialist in the Coronary Care Unit and the Invasive Laboratories of Cardiovascular Medicine at Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital, and further postgraduate qualifications in Information Technology and Health Policy and Management.
