Delivering a Healthy WA
Renal Health Network

The Renal Health Network

The Renal Health Network aims to drive the development and facilitate the delivery of more patient-centred, sustainable and effective clinical services for all those with renal conditions in order to promote a more direct and holistic focus on priorities for patients and carers.

The Network will advise on service planning, policy development, performance monitoring, priority setting, workforce planning and evidence-based protocol development to ensure the best use of resources to improve the wellbeing of patients across all continuums of care. We do this through the coordination of health services and by forging effective and productive partnerships and working relationships with all health care providers, key stakeholders, consumers and the community.

The Renal Health Network incorporates the following clinical areas:

  • Acute medical and surgical services for renal dialysis and renal medicine
  • Medical and surgical treatments associated with renal failure
  • Other kidney diagnoses and operative insertion of peritoneal catheter for dialysis

The Network is led by Dr Ashley Irish and Dr Harry Moody and an Executive Advisory Group with representation from key stakeholders in renal health, including health professionals, consumers, carers, health researchers and interested groups and organisations.
