Respiratory Health Network

Asthma model of care

The Asthma Working Party is a collaboration between the Respiratory and the Child and Youth Health Networks and looks at asthma in both children and adults.

The model of care builds on existing national and state policy in this area, including the WA Chronic Respiratory Disease Clinical Services Improvement Framework (CSIF) 2005.

Five key areas have been identified to progress the implementation of CSIF and improve asthma services in Western Australia.

  • Asthma child and adolescent guidelines
  • Asthma adult guidelines
  • Workforce education
  • Consumer education
  • Equipment, devices and technology
